Planned Parenthood under fire again for selling aborted baby organs and tissues to US govt

In a well-known but seldom talked about practice, Planned Parenthood has sold the organs and tissues of aborted babies to the highest bidder for decades. Unknown to many, the aborted baby parts are often sold to the US Department of Health and Human Services.

This past Thursday, a US District Court ordered that the Department of Health and Human Services release information about the agency’s repeated involvement, along with the FDA, in illegal fetus sales. From

“Both the FDA and NIH purchased the organs from California-based Advanced Biosciences Resources (ABR) to create “” for use in HIV research. ABR partners with Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers to dismember fetuses and sell their parts for research. The notes that ABR: sold second-trimester livers and thymi for hundreds of dollars apiece. The same for brains, eyes, and lungs. After tacking on fees for services like shipping and cleaning, ABR could collect over $2,000 on a single fetus it purchased from Planned Parenthood for $60. The federal government participated in this potentially illicit trade for years.”

In a from Dr. David Prentice, vice president and research director of the Charlotte Lozier Institute, Prentice condemns the practice as unnecessary;

In one six-year span, Planned Parenthood was for aborted baby parts. President Trump the practice of federal agencies harvesting fetal tissues and organs for medical research.

Under 42 U.S.C. § 289g-2(a), ,

“It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly acquire, receive, or otherwise transfer any for valuable consideration if the transfer affects .”

Now, DHH and the FDA will have to answer for the practice that’s explicitly forbidden by federal law. Since those agencies have allegedly committed illegal acts on the taxpayer.’s dime, Judicial Watch has watched its case closely. Mainstream media has barely reported the practice.

Even after Donald Trump , media outlets later condemned him for stymying Coronavirus treatment research. In Biden’s flurry of executive orders, he’ll probably reverse the law soon.
