A study published today by echoes what anti-maskers already knew; masks have no significant effect on COVID-19 spread.
The Danish study concluded, “A total of 3030 participants were randomly assigned to the recommendation to wear masks, and 2994 were assigned to control; 4862 completed the study. Infection with SARS-CoV-2 occurred in 42 participants recommended masks (1.8%) and 53 control participants (2.1%). The between-group difference was −0.3 percentage point (95% CI, −1.2 to 0.4 percentage point; P = 0.38) (odds ratio, 0.82 [CI, 0.54 to 1.23]; P = 0.33). Multiple imputation accounting for loss to follow-up yielded similar results.”
The people who wore masks did not find any significant decrease in transmission rates of COVID-19, which falls in line with the CDC’s own studies showing that most people who got sick wore masks. The masks do nothing.
In fact, the CDC admits that cloth masks do absolutely nothing to prevent COVID-19.
It’s not as if readers aren’t already aware that masks don’t work; readers have known that fact since Spring. No matter how much evidence surfaces which points to masks as nothing more than symbols of obedience, leaders such as Polis and Hancock will continue to remind Coloradoans to muzzle up every morning on social media. Polis says masking up will “save lives.” Someone needs to ask him where he gets his science…

Good points. The media is supressing the information that doesn’t agree with their progressive beliefs. The governor and his health “experts” seem to be focusing on information that agrees with them, or they just make it up. A piece of cloth on your face won’t prevent you from getting the flu and it won’t prevent you from getting COVID-19 either. Both are roughly the same size and way smaller than the gaps in the cloth fabric and the gaps in the face coverings everyone is wearing.
