Biden’s Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said taxing drivers by the mile in a new $3T Green plan “shows a lot of promise.” As if creating a new earth breaking principle, Pothole Pete , “If we believe in that so-called ‘user-pays principle,’ the idea that part of how we pay for roads is you pay based on how much you drive. The gas tax used to be the obvious way to do that; it’s not anymore.”
Pothole Pete’s word salad can be simplified as the following, “We don’t care about the US economy. The cost of every good and service that is transported on a US highway (aka everything) will now increase in price due to our arbitrary upcoming taxes on US citizens.”
Instead of demanding ethical import standards to lower global pollution, we will turn the blind eye to China, who has been the global leader in pollution, and make US drivers pay a tax for crucial daily driving necessities.
