A newly released letter from the Joint Chiefs of Staff to the U.S. military about the attack on the U.S. Capitol, and the forthcoming transition of power to President-elect Biden as “our 46th Commander in Chief” has been declassified.
The letter condemns the January 6th riots and instructs the military to ensure a peaceful transition of power on January 20th, Inauguration Day.
The does not mention the Insurrection Act and clearly shows the US military’s commitment to a peaceful January 20th ceremony.
