-Mayor Hancock signs a letter to demand federal police stay out of Denver.

-Dave Williams, State Rep, asks Trump to send federal agents, citing increased violence and destruction of property.

-Governor Polis demands that federal police stay out of Denver, calling the protests peaceful.

-Governor Polis is informed for the first time ever, according to him, during his live COVID briefing, that the Governor’s mansion and Capitol building are covered with tents.

-Governor Polis states that he thought Denver voted for the urban camping ban, but he doesn’t follow Denver Politics. There can’t be tents there, according to Polis, and whoever can remove them should be doing so. He doesn’t know who that agency is.

-A few hours later, an encampment shooting leaves one dead and two wounded.

So things are going really well in Denver overall.
